Stablecoin yield fees: what does net APY include?
By Yielro · Updated
Yielro’s stated fee is 10% of earned yield, rather than 10% of the principal. A customer APY after a yield fee does not necessarily include every currency conversion, transaction cost or tax. To compare net outcomes, check all deductions, the holding period and any change in the currency you use to measure your money.
A fee on earnings
Illustrative fee example, not a forecast: if the relevant earned yield is €10, a 10% yield fee is €1, leaving €9 of that yield before any other applicable costs. This example does not say how much a deposit will earn or when a fee will be collected.
What to check beyond APY
- Whether the displayed rate already reflects the yield fee; do not subtract it twice.
- Provider costs and the terms of the selected strategy.
- Currency conversion price, spread and transaction costs.
- The holding period, withdrawal dependencies and any applicable taxes.
The rate is an estimate, the outcome is realised
A current annualised estimate can change during the time you hold a position. Short holding periods may make one-off costs more significant. A USDC result also needs to be translated into euros if euros are your reference currency.
Check the current transaction information
Use the current strategy information, displayed transaction amounts and applicable terms before confirming an action. This page explains the fee structure; it is not an exact deposit, conversion or withdrawal quote.
